What is Covered ?
The Finance Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Razak will provide substantial tax incentives to boost up the service sector and manufacturing based industries . This is to spearhead the growth of the economy and also to increase domestic demand and leer external investor in Malaysia.
As GST is unlikely to be implemented within this two years, there is a possibility to widen up the service tax base. Corporate tax rate foreseen to drop by 2% while individual tax rate remain. This is an important budget after the government was given mandate to reside in Putrajaya for another five years, thus it is a BUDGET for appreciation and confidence boosting.
Outline Content of the Seminar
This workshop is structured with the objective of not just highlighting latest changes arising from Budget 2014. Our objective is to highlight various tax planning opportunity in respect of individuals and corporation, as well as our latest research in respect of transfer pricing audit.

DR CHOONG KWAI FATT has more than 24 years experience providing consultancy services to listed companies, audit firms and the Government. Dr Choong is a highly sought tax consultant. He is highly qualified with both professional accounting qualification and legal qualification. With chartered accountancy from 6 professional bodies and called to bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia. Also an avid researcher equipped with a PhD in taxation.
He has won various awards for excellent in tax research and published articles in reputable journals in an outside Malaysia. He is appointed by the Ministry of Finance as one of the panel members reviewing tax reforms in Malaysia. His research works have been quoted in many tax cases and have influenced the formulation of tax policy in Malaysia.
He has a heart of gold and is passionate about helping the tax professionals, accountants, senior executive, lawyers and business owners to enhance in taxation skills, knowledge and wealth through tax planning.
